I'm wondering with our Spanish connections if Valentín Castellanos is on our radar.

For a moment, I thought I was in Percy's Mob thread.

Could be, he's known on the streets as 'Taty Castellanos'.

I think we should go for Brenan Johnson. I think considering his age, Emery would work wonders with him.

He would cost way too much for it to be worth it.

Agree - he looks promising but not enough to merit what he’d cost us.

I'm wondering with our Spanish connections if Valentín Castellanos is on our radar. Could be an interesting player with a buy-out clause of just €15m. He's from Argentina, made his name in the MSL for New York, who sent him out on loan last season to newly promoted Girona, who finished 10th last season. He scored 14 goals in 37 goals including 4 against Real Madrid.

The reason he came to my attention is Benfica are after him to replace Ramos.

Aren’t New York and Girona part of Cit£h Football group?

Would love to get Maitland Niles on a free

If we're looking to bulk up the squad, then maybe - he's tidy enough - but I'd prefer we spent this summer trying to buy players who will become part of the first 11, and see current first choices become squad players.

Isn't he Saints/Fulham standard?

As usual you're well informed; New York (80%) and Girona (47%).

I think Marinos over here are, too.

They are.

I feel less guilty now about thinking they're a bunch of wankers. Most of their fans are.

Brennan Johnson in, according to that David Ornstein guy (bloke who broke the Tielemans deal).

Edit: Looks like it's a fake account. Twitter shits at it again.

Apparently it's a fake account.  Good player.

Not a massive amount by today’s standard.  Only 22 as well, so plenty of room for improvement and can play both centrally and wide.

Suppose the only question would be is he good enough now to be genuine competition for Watkins and deputise for him if he’s out.

I imagine be would be more competition for the likes of Bailey...

Apparently Brentford offered £30m which Forest thought "derisory and insulting". They're saying £50m+ might open talks but I'm guessing they'd settle for £40m with add-ons. It's a hell of a lot of money for a kid who has potential. I can't see us going there at that price.
