Wolves agree sale of Neves to Saudi team for £47m.

I don’t know how anyone can want to play in that horrific, fun-free, depressing, medieval hell hole.

Bet he’s glad he’s leaving it.

Chortle.

Anyhoo, have we signed anyone today?  If not Monchi out, too much lollygagging.

I know superstars the end of thier careers have started going there for huge financial paydays but this is a very good player in his pomp at 26.

Madness  or sign of things to come?
I was really surprised when i saw this story earlier. I think Neves is a really good player, already a millionaire, why would sacrifice the best years of your career ahead when you are already financially secure for life.

Maybe he feels public executions are what’s missing from his almost perfect life.

He currently lives in Wolverhampton.  Same difference.

I remember being staggered to learn that some Wolves players chose to live in Telford (this was back in the Robbie Keane era, so they probably don't anymore). I'm from very near Telford. It's not where I'd be spending my millions.

I wanted to make a joke like this, but couldn't work out how to phrase it!

Brilliantly done, chief.

I don’t follow golf so not sure what happened but I’d guess that the Saudis will be looking to fund a ESL once they’ve caused enough chaos in the current leagues to unbalance the status quo.

The scale of it is too big to ever have a top league.

Its just not gonna happen unless they buy FIFA, UEFA and CONMEBOL and then move everything over. Which obviously isn't gonna happen.

If I've learnt one thing over the last decade it's that football at that level is very corrupt. It won't be easy at all but I can see them pushing to have a league at around the Dutch level. They'll give it a good go, the World Cup will be in Saudi before we know it as well.

They will buy a few top teams and form their own super league bribing other big clubs to go with them
They don’t need to buy everything just a few main clubs and few top players

Then unlike last time when the fans protested, they won’t give two fucks about anyone or anything

Man City are killing football and the bloke funding it has only bothered to go watch twice in 15 years.

It’s doomed….

Heard something on the radio the other day saying that the wheels are already in motion regarding them having the World Cup.  They are apparently already investing heavily in African football in an attempt to secure their votes.  If they can buy ... ahem sorry, secure, the African votes and get the Middle East ones as well then they will be well on the way.

The thing that will hold them back domestically is that their teams can't enter the Champions League etc.

Even more annoyingly they are bailing out the likes of Wolves and Chelsea for FFP by buying their cast offs for millions

Surely Coutinho will be wanted over there.
