I doubt we'll sign Ugarte, I'll be surprised if he doesn't end up at Liverpool.

They can't sign everyone. If they've identified higher priorities then it's game on.

Probably depends on their Champions League status - if they've identified Mac Allister, Bellingham and Tchouameni but they don't want to join a team in fifth, then we might find our targets becoming their targets.

We're the 2nd best side in the league since 2023 ticked into life. Only Man City have taken more points. 2nd best defence too.

Whoever we add, it's going to be to some very strong foundations.

Emile Smith Rowe and Lo Celso are Emery men they would be welcome additions.

I hope and expect we'll be looking further than every single player who's played previously under Emery.

Bellingham has a solid family, his old man is a copper, played at lot of non-league and knew people in the game. I doubt know about Carney but I suspect that was not the case for him

He’s learnt his trade in a fantastic environment

Small Heath? 😉

Yeah he's at a big club now, so he'll probably want to take advantage of that to sign bigger players.

True, Liverpool seem to enjoy paying Portuguese clubs double the amount the player is worth.

You want to tell the Darwin Núñez story again, don't you? :)

Lo Celso getting linked again, Emery managed him at PSG and signed him twice for Villareal.

Flopped when last in PL though, lazy paper talk I hope.

I certainly don't remember much about him from when we played Spurs in our first two seasons back up? Did he even play in any of those four games?

Technically he's still a Spurs player it seems.

He's hardly going to accept a million quid is he?
