Zanilo 6ft 3?  Would be nice to sign someone who can play Willy Wonka rather than one of the Umpa Lumpas at the Christmas party.

I read somewhere that Hugh Grant is playing an Oompha Loompha in a new Wonka film, unless I dreamt it.

You didn’t dream it

We can definitely provide a few extras.  Should help a bit towards FFP.

Loved Zaniolo when he first broke in at Roma, and a lot of elite clubs were looking at him. Been incredibly unlucky with injuries but the Turkish journo who broke the story is saying its a loan w/ option to buy at 30m, so I'm a bit more relaxed about the risk factor.

This would signpost that Coutinho is off at some point, I think. If we get him off the wage bill, finalise the deal for Ramsey to Burnley, then Zaniolo in would make a lot of sense and not be a huge burden financially - talented, good age, a lot to prove. Don't think it makes us too top heavy either. Really shrewd deal if it happens. Bloody hell we mean business this season.

A Turkish journo saying we've offered a loan with an option to buy. His knees being dodgy makes a loan wiser.

signing a player with two acl injuries sounds nuts to me, even on a loan to buy.  But certainly an exciting talent.

Bit surprised Galatasaray are happy to let him go just 4 months into a 4/5 year contract, and 5 goals in 10 games. Or don’t they want to argue with Monchi?

They don’t appear to be happy.

Certainly not with our current bid of €3m loan fee + €27m non-mandatory option to buy.

Suggestions now that player side agreed and only the club side to be figured out. He’s a good young player. Like everyone his injuries are a concern. A bigger concern for me is that he’s not Spanish speaking or an American. Leaves me wondering how he will fit in?

Are we stepping on Newcastle's toes with this one? Lots of articles from yesterday or before saying they're faves to sign him.

Grew up a big fan of Carbone, and it was always his dream to play for us. Or Bradford.

Has our need for a Buendia type recently increased?

To be fair I did see us linked with this guy a few times earlier in the summer. But yeah.... it's gone from zero to one hundred real quick 🤔
