Not to come over all Flinty, but I’m pissed  off about all those empty seats having been online last night and told it was sold out.

Me & Amfy couldn't go today so we put our seats onto resale.  They won't sell them until the whole ground is sold out, it's ridiculous.

That picture was at half time just after the downpour, wasn't it?

Maybe. Was it full up there during the game?

Looks a fair bit emptier than the bottom tier anyway.

I wasn't there today but on the stream I was watching they showed a similar pic at HT, it was absolutely pissing down when the ht whistle went.

If it was the seats above the away fans, you had to phone up for those I believe.
I did see loads of empty seats in the lower Trinity and some in the lower north though

Missing Kamara. I feel we're scraping through to the end of the season, with the players we have available. April will be a huge month with 7 matches.

Totally trust Emre to make the most of the summer window. UTV.
We will have 3 players back from injury by then

A comfortable win and thank christ because VAR robbed us blind today.

I still remember how I felt after the first game of the season. I went into it full of optimism only for us to get spanked by Bournemouth. Feels good to have put that right.

Dougie is starting to turn into the ‘proper’ player we all hoped he might.

He really is. Another whose value increases every week.

Emery has improved many of them from the Shambolic Gerrard amd Army of Shite Coaches

'On if the fans are getting behind the team: "I think there have been a lot of comments on social media. Every time I've played for Villa the atmosphere has been very good. Everyone's got to adapt to a new playing style. Today they did that and got behind us."'

What's that about? Bit of a snide question, isn't it?

Good performance. Never unduly worried. Once it got to 70 minutes and Bournemouth had to push up a little more, we started to pick them apart a bit more. It felt like a lot of nous in the game plan, as you expect from Emery. This kind of game has historically been a banana skin, so to end with a fairly routine win, was pleasing.

Great to see Ramsey back to his dynamic, driving best. It's great when Douglas is up for it too, but I wish he hit these levels a bit more often. Moreno lasted the game pretty well too. McGinn, Cash and Mings also great.

Bailey is an enigma (mostly frustating one). Beundia wasn't great (though did grow into it as the game opened) but I guess the former got an assist and Emi2 got a goal.

We now have to shake off another curse, and that's going into an international break on a decent run. I really hope we're on it in the next game. Though it probably works better for us that it's a game where we're underdogs.

Hopefully Kamara will be back after the break, so not all bad.

Cash MOTM for me today, a fraction ahead of McGinn and Luiz. Mings did very well too.
