We have the right manager, the right owners and a team that is going places. We haven't been this consistent in many years. Bloody fabulous

Missing Kamara. I feel we're scraping through to the end of the season, with the players we have available. April will be a huge month with 7 matches.

Totally trust Emre to make the most of the summer window. UTV.

How many times have we seen seasons fall apart because a manager cannot cope when a big player gets injured?

Unai seems to find a way to get a result regardless of the players available.

Not to come over all Flinty, but I’m pissed  off about all those empty seats having been online last night and told it was sold out.

Thankful that we got the two late goals because I really felt that the lack of VAR intervention on both of the handballs would haunt us. I genuinely don't understand the rules anymore, nor do I believe anybody who says thst they do.

That picture was at half time just after the downpour, wasn't it?

Some hairy moments but in general, as last week we looked in control which seems to be the overriding philosophy of Emery. Great forward play at times, just missing that finally ball. Doug and SJM were immense, Bailey and Buendia less so.

As for VAR, fucking ridiculous and pointless.

A well deserved victory and comfortable in the end.
442 today!
Could and should have been more, but for some lousy officiating. Could someone please show that useless gimp with a whistle what a hand/lower arm looks like. As for var...pathetic and embarrassing after all the years it’s been operative!
Cash for me was motm. Moreno very good going forwards!
Luiz bossed the midfield.
Buendia loose with the ball at times, but he stuck in there and got his goal!
Special mention for Mings and that race back and clearance in the 2nd half! He has a never say die attitude! Well done Villa boys! UTV!

Maybe. Was it full up there during the game?

Looks a fair bit emptier than the bottom tier anyway.

Three valuable points. Decent performance considering Buendia, Bailey and Watkins didn't turn up. Mings, McGinn, Ramsey, Dougie, Emi, Cash, Moreno and even Konsa all played their part. Despite not being at our best we were rarely troubled thanks to the defence and midfield.

The less said about the penalties the better. I no longer have a clue what does and doesn't now qualify as a penalty, it's like the rules change every week.

I thought we would really miss Kamara but I disagree we have coped really well. It just goes to show that with a proper Manager Dougie and McGinn can play well together.

Atrocious VAR decision.

Good performance. Never unduly worried. Once it got to 70 minutes and Bournemouth had to push up a little more, we started to pick them apart a bit more. It felt like a lot of nous in the game plan, as you expect from Emery. This kind of game has historically been a banana skin, so to end with a fairly routine win, was pleasing.

Great to see Ramsey back to his dynamic, driving best. It's great when Douglas is up for it too, but I wish he hit these levels a bit more often. Moreno lasted the game pretty well too. McGinn, Cash and Mings also great.

Bailey is an enigma (mostly frustating one). Beundia wasn't great (though did grow into it as the game opened) but I guess the former got an assist and Emi2 got a goal.

We now have to shake off another curse, and that's going into an international break on a decent run. I really hope we're on it in the next game. Though it probably works better for us that it's a game where we're underdogs.
