I shall follow the lead of the Guardian and completely ignore the fact that we are playing and focus on our opponents.

The green shoots of revival indicated by their last home win certainly vanished pretty quickly with a heavy defeat last time out, so the pressure is on Moyes as once again his team take to the field in front of 50,000 loyal Hammers fans, soundtracked by artificial crowd noises from a memory stick plugged into the PA laptop.

2-2, Ings with at least one for them.

Forgot about Ings, 2-1 to us.

We've won 1 of the last 13 against them, and 0 of the last 9. The only win was under Sherwood.

4-1 us.

Haven't beaten West Ham in my daughter's lifetime.

Fancy us to win this though.

Funnily enough the last win under Sherwood was the first game I took my eldest two kids to.

Them being pulverised by Brighton is bad for us.

Can see them jamming one from a set piece or mistake by one of our lot, which seems to be the only sort of goals scored when we face these.

If we get an early goal it could turn ugly. Or uglier. Quite impressive, when you consider some of the mutants they have in the stands and the dug out.

Does this mean that two-faced wanker sendo will be on here this week?

Can't we forgive him, ruffle him on the head and express sympathy for his club's plight?

West Ham need the points badly and they have Ings who wasn’t good enough for us. What could possibly go wrong!’

Or, the crowd will be tetchy as they often are there, we'll start quickly as we often do, and they don't recover.

Massive pressure on Moyes, without much to suggest he can turn this around. Last week was a freak result for them, I'm confident

A draw  I think, for no other reason than we're due one.  If Kamara was fit I'd be more confident of the win.

No chance we lose this.. they've got a 8pm kickoff in Cyprus on Thursday, back to London on Friday, Saturday off and then face a rested Villa on Sunday.

I hope we can keep the ball and run them ragged.
