Konsa had no idea whatsoever what he was doing there.

Two Pinot Noir seen off, now cracked open an Amarone that didn’t get drunk at Christmas as I think something stronger might be required.

Very nice. Love a good Pinot Noir. New World or Old World?

One of each. One France, one NZ.

Well balanced.

Controversially - I’m not that keen on Burgundy - it seems to trade on its name at a premium price.

For great wine that is similar in taste and structure, I reckon Stodden in the Ahr Valley, Germany is pretty close - but a fraction of the price.

I am also a fan of Romanian Pinot Noir too, but think some of the German ones are starting to push into new territory now.

Although I’d never say no to a glass of Burgundy… I’ve got a few locked up in the cellar for some day in the future

Leicestershire wine club needs a meeting I feel!

I’m up for that. One thing Hinckley misses badly is a decent wine shop. Although I did go into the Y7 express and found them selling quite a few bottles of Bosconia and decent Bordeaux amongst others at 2 for £15. I asked why and they said “because nobody around here wants it”

That was a good day.

Luiz is just so inconsistent.

He's great when we've got a measure of control over the game but when a team presses with energy and strength in midfield, he gets overrun. He lacks some of the physical qualities to be truly top class for me.

This needs investigating.

Fuck knows how Dirty Leeds aren't level. Konsa and Mings are terrifying when asked to play out.
