Controversially - I’m not that keen on Burgundy - it seems to trade on its name at a premium price.

For great wine that is similar in taste and structure, I reckon Stodden in the Ahr Valley, Germany is pretty close - but a fraction of the price.

I am also a fan of Romanian Pinot Noir too, but think some of the German ones are starting to push into new territory now.

Although I’d never say no to a glass of Burgundy… I’ve got a few locked up in the cellar for some day in the future

Leicestershire wine club needs a meeting I feel!

I’m up for that. One thing Hinckley misses badly is a decent wine shop. Although I did go into the Y7 express and found them selling quite a few bottles of Bosconia and decent Bordeaux amongst others at 2 for £15. I asked why and they said “because nobody around here wants it”

That was a good day.

Luiz is just so inconsistent.

He's great when we've got a measure of control over the game but when a team presses with energy and strength in midfield, he gets overrun. He lacks some of the physical qualities to be truly top class for me.
