Unsurprisingly Murray loses in 4 sets, he looked cream crackered from the start, between points he looked like he was struggling to even walk, did well to even get a set. Credit to Bautista Agut not only was he up against Murray, seemed like 99% of the crowd for shouting for Andy. Dan Evans also out, no Brits left.

Good win for Tsitsipas beating Sinner in 5 sets. At the end of the match Tsitsipas handed out signed cards to the fans, I suppose that's one way of saving energy!

Brilliant from Djokovic beating Alex De Minaur in 3 sets, dropping only 5 games, at the moment it looks like only injury will stop him winning another Aussie Open.

Hasn't done much since she won Wimbledon, but Elena Rybakina now through to the semis after beating Ostapenko in 2 sets.

Wimbledon champion Rybakina v Sabalenka in the final, both big hitters. Looks likely to be Djokovic v Tsitsipas in the men's.

Men's tennis is pointless at the minute. If Nadal is fit he wins the French, if Djokovic is fit he wins the other three. Both are all-time greats, but fuck me, where is the next generation?

To think Federer took shit for dominating in a 'weak era' when, in Slam finals, he beat Roddick/Hewitt/Safin/Agassi/Nadal/Djokovic/Murray/Cilic.

Count the Slams there vs the current 'challengers'.

Agree with you Rory, only one answer to your question, where is the next generation, Carlos Alcaraz, pity he wasn't fit for the Open.

Anyway, after a wobble in the 1st set, Djokovic wins comfortably in 3 sets, hopefully Tsitsipas will give him a game in the final, nobody else has so far, Novak has only dropped 1 set so far.

Alcaraz eh? I haven't seen much of him, but if he's willing to compete, unlike Tsitsipas or the Zverevs, that's a bonus.

After a poor 1st set littered with double faults, Sabalenko comes back well to beat the Wimbledon champion, though it did take her 4 match points to get over the line. Now she's got her first major, wouldn't be surprised Sabalenko, with her power, goes onto to become a multi Grand Slam winner.

Well winning the US Open at 19 years of age, is not a bad start to his career.

10 Aussie Opens 22 majors now, looks like only injury is gonna stop Djokovic getting 30 grand slams.

Andy Murray played his first match, since the Aussie Open, winning a final set tie break, Alexander Zverev up next.

I've never liked Murray as a player (as a bloke he seems decent) but credit to him for continuing to play on and fight, after the injury issues he's had. It must take a lot of commitment and determination.

Never heard it that way round before Rory - often hear that stupid anti-English nonsense that he gets accused of (he’s Scottish he should be anti English but the origin with Murray was him being done over by a presenter) - but never heard of anyone not liking him as player, sure the screaming at his coaches can be a bit tiresome but he’s a wonderful player when in flow.  For me he is the best sportsman this country has produced in my lifetime…blessed and cursed that he played in the era of Roger / Rafa and the BellEnd
