Someone was trying singing his name to "Brown Girl in the Ring" at Old Trafford, which worked until the end bit

If you're going to use a Boney M song surely 'Daddy Cool' would work better, even if it's a bit repetitive.

We've already broken copyright law on that by singing it about late-2000's Villa legend Moustapha Salifou.

"Swords of a Thousand Men" chorus scans perfectly -  Unai, Unai, Unai ay!

I was thinking that as well.
Gets my vote

An old tune, well known!

Unai Emery’s Villa
Unai Emery’s team
Unai Emery’s Villa
Unai Emery’s team

Repeat…

To the tune of ‘land of hope and glory’ / pomp and circumstance marches
Midlands composer; Elgar!

Just Unai Emery to the tune of Come on Eileen, finishing with a long chorus of 'Unai, Unai, Unai, Unai Aye!'.  The club shop can cash in by selling branded dungarees and neckerchiefs.

I love this!

While over hearing one of this 80's pop songs programmes t'other day I heard the well known DISCO from 1980 by Ottawan (Look it up kids if you don't know it)I got thinking that Unai Emery works perfectly well if you break it down into syllables
U nai Em er y

So with that in mind it goes like this....

U nai Em er y, Unai Emery,
Unai Emery, Unai Emery,

Singin'
U Undefeated..Singin'
N No good at English..Singin'
A Arsenal Reject...Singin
I I I (extended) I
and then back into U nai Em er y

It also works for E M E R Y

Singin'..
E Ebening Jug Ears
Singin'
M Move up the table
Singin'
E Ebening Jug Ears
Singin'
R Rise up the table
Singin
Y Yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
U nai Em er y repeat x 4

Apologies in advance for any earworms created.

Brendan, this is an insane work of genius that we to disect, perfect and sing over numerous pints of Guinness sooner rather than later!

There has got to be a song out there with "You and I" in it that we could use for Unai.

Feel like the obvious song has been staring us in the face, tbh...

"Onetta there in the corner stand
And she wonders where she is
And it's strange to her
Some people seem to have everything

Nine a.m. on the hour hand
And she's waiting for the bell
And she's looking real pretty
Just wait for her clientele

She works hard for the Unai
So hard for it, honey
She works hard for the Unai
So you better treat her right

She works hard for the Unai
So hard for it, honey
She works hard for the Unai
So you better treat her right

Twenty-eight years have come and gone
And she's seen a lot of tears
Of the ones who come in
They really seem to need her there

It's a sacrifice working day to day
For little money, just tips for pay
But it's worth it all
Just to hear them say that they care

She works hard for the Unai
So hard for it, honey
She works hard for the Unai
So you better treat her right

Already knows
She's seen her bad times
Already knows
These are the good times

Never sell out
She never will
Not for a dollar bill
She works hard

She works hard for the Unai
So hard for it, honey
She works hard for the Unai
So you better treat her right

Hard for the Unai
So hard for it, honey
She works hard for the Unai
So you better treat her right, alright

She works hard for the Unai
So hard for it, honey
She works hard for the Unai
So you better treat her right

She works hard for the Unai
So hard for it, honey
She works so hard for the Unai
So you better treat her right, alright

She works hard for the Unai
So hard for it, honey
She works hard for the Unai
So you better treat her right

ALL TOGETHER NOW"

Good point, it has to be 'Pride'. 8)

One man come in the name of love
One man come and go
One man come he to justify
One man to overthrow

His name is Unai
Once more cheer the name of Unai
His name is Unaaiii...
Once more cheer the name of Unaaiii...

It's like Gilbert and Sullivan, Elton John and Bernie Taupin John Lennon and Paul McCartney have all been out on the piss together, come back to one of their houses and are sat around the kitchen table giggling trying to come up with the worst possible efforts imaginable.  ;)
