Song for Unai Emery
« on: November 16, 2022, 10:25:37 AM »
While over hearing one of this 80's pop songs programmes t'other day I heard the well known DISCO from 1980 by Ottawan (Look it up kids if you don't know it)I got thinking that Unai Emery works perfectly well if you break it down into syllables
U nai Em er y

So with that in mind it goes like this....

U nai Em er y, Unai Emery,
Unai Emery, Unai Emery,

Singin'
U Undefeated..Singin'
N No good at English..Singin'
A Arsenal Reject...Singin
I I I (extended) I
and then back into U nai Em er y

It also works for E M E R Y

Singin'..
E Ebening Jug Ears
Singin'
M Move up the table
Singin'
E Ebening Jug Ears
Singin'
R Rise up the table
Singin
Y Yiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
U nai Em er y repeat x 4

Apologies in advance for any earworms created.

Jesus Fucking Christ, Bren. What the fuck is this?

Has your brain been co-opted by Farageists or something?

'No good at English'

'Ebening'?

A bit of fun Paulie.    Ebening is a slant at Lineker.

The words can be changed and I'm sure others can come up with some better alternatives.

Those better alternatives being silence and everyone wearing earplugs.

A rare misstep from Bren, nothing two weeks in the Priory and a video apology won't sort out though.

Well it started badly, tailed off in the middle and the least said about the end the better. Apart from that, yes I'm sure it will catch on.

The one doing the rounds at Brighton on Sunday ( with apologies to those who might think it’s a racial stereotype):

Unai Emery
Unai Emery
He eats paella
He drinks Estrella
He loves the Villa

Given that Paella is from Valencia, and Estrella from Barcelona, it's a no from me.

Imagine if Dean Smith went to manage Sporting Gijon and they sang

"Smithy eats Jellied Eels
He drinks Newkie Broon..."

This was in my head the other day.

There is no other day
Let's try it another way
You'll lose your mind and play
Cup final in May
See Emery play

I don’t think the kids will go for it somehow.

Could always change one of them to "Work permit's from Suella" if that helps.

Just Unai Emery to the tune of Come on Eileen, finishing with a long chorus of 'Unai, Unai, Unai, Unai Aye!'.  The club shop can cash in by selling branded dungarees and neckerchiefs.
