We rode our luck. We didn’t play with the ball and a better side would have capitalized on the opportunities. But this is very much a work in progress. We are going to make mistakes trying to play it out but doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try to play it that way. We need better technical players and those who understand their position off the ball so we close down faster. But the effort was there. The determination and collectiveness is revealing itself. And the shithousery which all great sides have is there.

Foul count 14 -11
Bookings 2 - 7

Explain that.

That sir, is a very good point!

Even Lil’ Lee thinks it was a Pen against Digne, so what do I know
I would have been screaming for it up the other end if one of ours was kicked

Anyone still interested in moving Danny Ings on?

Nope. Eat my own words today. Glad to be wrong.

And it also shows we can play different systems , pack the midfield more away, with just one up top.

I though he was excellent.

Two and a quarter per game. Marvellous. Keep it up Unai.

It was never a penalty, March was steaming in to Digne as he was attempting to clear the ball and Digne wasn't even looking at the player.

Even if it's analysed to death and 99% consensus is penalty  - HA!

Before Unai was appointed I had Man United and Brighton both down for losses, what a difference he has made in only 2 league games.

I expect we'll get a fine for all those yellow cards, "failing to control our players" or some such bollocks.

Never a penalty. He missed the ball but didn't get the player. The player then ran into him.

More bookings than shots on target and corners combined. But who cares?

The only numbers that count are balls in the onion bag.

1-2 to us.

Onwards and upwards.

The shithousery from Emi at the end was the kind of thing that has frustrated me in forever from opposition teams

Well chuffed. Scrappy, tenacious and dare I say it even street wise at times. Well played Villa.
