I’m in a bad mood because of the team selection and now they’re playing fucking freed from desire over the public address system.

"Harry Maguire
Your defending's terrifying"

on internal jukebox to that tune.

Emery uses rotation- hes about the collective.
He'll have us sorted in a 4-4-2 and will be fine I think.
Can make things go our way with a combating midfield a great selective mix and good opportunity for McGinn to show what he can do under Emery instruction.
Up the Villa!

Gonna stay off this thread as unpopular opinion would rather focus on the league rather than criticise gaffers choice second game in. See you on the other side

I can see there is logic in wanting to look at more players before there is an unprecedented break in the league.  It will allow him to see where there are potential areas of weakness and start working on it before January.  I don't agree with the decision though.
Fair enough mate. To me cup run can wait until we can establish league position.
To be clear I hope we batter the Manc twats but let’s not get on emery’s back straight away

It's a very strong bench.

It's an extra 5 games to win it after tonight. I don't get why anyone wants to wait on winning a first trophy for 26 years just so as we can maybe finish 9th instead of 10th.

Weird. And disappointing. But we'll see. I wonder if maybe Mings is not feeling great today, having just heard he's been left out of the world cup squad, albeit that he will surely not have been surprised. And it will be good to see Chambers.

Yep. And it will be years before there's a last sixteen of a cup when two thirds of the Sky Six have been knocked out again. This is a great opportunity.

If level heading into injury time I'd be tempted to bring Martinez on to hopefully wind them up in the penalty shoot-out.

I get your point of view and want us to win something but so early into emery’s reign, would rather we established ourselves in top flight as never felt since we went up we wouldn’t slide out of the league at some point. In short I don’t want us to do a blose. But don’t underestimate my desire for us to win tonight. Come on villa! We can do this

Disappointing line up, but good to see Chambers and Kamara starting.

Feel I’m coming across as a massive helmet tonight so will not post again this evening. Sorry if I’m pissing folk off. Wasn’t my intention

Changing 3 of the back 4 seems completely unnecessary. Not sure about Olsen, think he will be a disaster.

Be boring if we all had the same opinion on everything. Stay, and be a massive helmet, but you're our massive helmet.

Concerned people confirm I’m a helmet but if I’m gonna be a helmet can I be one of them spiky German ones?
