Did Miguel Delaney do similar last season taking into account ManU’s excessive wealth in similar circumstances? I doubt it very much.

It wouldn't have been very relevant as it was against Spurs.

My first season ticket was 1980/1 on the Holte End and cost £14…probably the best value for money I’ve ever had for anything.

You remind me of a cross between John Denver and Kathy Burke's character in Gimme Gimme Gimme.

My mate sucked off a Milky Bar kid (many years after the peak of fame!) so you missed out on that too.
Now curious as to whether the sucked off Milky Bar Kid really did have the creamiest milk and the whitest bar.

I did go to a house party at which Joe Pasquale's son was coked up and trying to attract girls on the basis of who his dad was, which my Buckfast-addled brain thought was hilarious.  Sadly I had to leave around 10pm, but second hand reports suggested that he was a bit of a pain in the arse, and went home alone at some ungodly hour the next morning.

I think I saw you in an ice-cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes cold and long
Smiling and sucking-off the milky-bar kid
Don't think you knew you were in this song

My mate got a hand job off Buttons, but it was the actor playing the pantomime character in the Buxton production rather than the confectionary.

I think we may have had the exact same conversation on here donks ago, because that sounds very familiar.

Whilst English teams do have a financial advantage that comes attached with other problems. The level of domestic opposition is much higher (outside the top 4-5 clubs) than any other league and most premier league clubs, with the same squad, would be pushing for european qualifying in any other major league whjilst a lot of the weaker sides in those leagues would be favourites for relegation. That means our very top sides (and I include us in this) have far fewer opportunities to rest players ahead of big European games, if you do it you end up getting smashed by teams in the relegation zone (as we can evidence).

That means that outside of the handful of truly ridiculous clubs with revenues that are 3-4 times the rest of the league it's hard to build a squad that can handle a top 4 race and a European competition, we have lots of evidence to show this is true and we're about the only club that has broken in and managed to keep up the performances in the league, look at Newcastle or West Ham for examples of the more normal impact.

That is why us qualifying for the CL whilst also reaching the final is an immense achievement, even with our revenues.
Completely agree, paul. Our players will have played - what - 60 games this season?

Let me guess - they planned to met up for a second date - but they were a bit of a Flake

Needs one more European final after the season to go joint first with Trapattoni, who's done seven.

There have been times our resume have made me question my faith in Unai. As usual he’s made me look a twat. Not just about where we are now but just the complete body of work that I need to be more grateful for. That he’s taken this club from where it was to where it is, given all the hurdles is beyond a miracle. One more big step tonight but listening to him yesterday at the press conference he reminded everyone that every success and failure is part of the education and the journey to constantly being at our near the top.
