If it was offered, I wouldn't bet against him taking it, its the biggest club in the world and he's the best manager but I dont think it would be a good fit for either party. RM have just sacked a systems based coach as it didn't work with all the dressing room egos, and UE clearly doesn't enjoy the media attention and wants to be the sole decision maker.
Agree with this, I don’t think it would end well but I still think he’ll take it.

It’s Real Madrid. I don’t think they will go for him, for a whole variety of reasons. If they do though, I think he will go. Twice this month about a player leaving I have seen quotes from him saying it is not my choice I would like to keep him but it is a good deal for the club. I think he is starting to feel the frustration with the rules.

From X, probably already posted elsewhere, but another Emery record.

Aston Villa have won seven games in a row at Villa Park in major European competition for the first time in their history:

◉ 4-2 vs. Celtic
◉ 3-0 vs. Club Brugge
◉ 3-2 vs. PSG
◉ 1-0 vs. Bologna
◉ 2-0 vs. Maccabi Tel Aviv
◉ 2-1 vs. Young Boys
◉ 3-2 vs. RB Salzburg

He's broken more records than a Disco Demolition night at Comiskey Park.

Spoken to a Basque colleague this morning. In summary he’d be very surprised if Emery ended up at RM.

And in detail? is it a football think, a career thing, a control thing or an ethnicity thing?
He's on the shortlist appratenly.

If you read the Balague book, you'd be amazed he would go to RM based on the loss of control that he'd have to endure. Also, the Arse / PSG experiences convinced him that the management of so many large egos is not what he signed up for in football.
