Who is touting him?

Usual suspects on here mainly. I haven't been looking around at betting sites but I suspect his name will be mentioned no matter what.

Glasner appears to be the man.

Skybet have him way down in 16th on the list of potential replacements at 16/1.  Behind such names as Darren Fletcher (10/3), Gareth Southgate (10/1), Kieran McKenna (14/1) and Michael Carrick (14/1)

Glasner appears to be the man.

At least it moves the "Villa losing to Glasner" and "Villa losing to ManYoo" issue into one thing rather than two.

I assume we have a compensation clause for Emery? We paid Villareal about £4m iirc. He's worth about £400m to us.

Although isn't our issue just with Selhust Park being the problem down there still and not neccesarily Glasner. I have us as winning 2 there in 34 years (granted we haven't played them all that time during that period).

Seeing as the shit has hit the fan because the DoF there Wilcox encouraged Amorim to switch back to 4-4-2 it doesn’t seem Emery would be the kind of patsy they’re looking for.

Fun fact. We went 6 consecutive PL seasons without reaching the 42 points we have after 20 games.

11/12 38 pts
12/13 41
13/14 38
14/15 38
15/16 17
19/20 35

They were depressing times.

The Macron kits. Signing players from League 1 and 2. Helenius getting his pants pulled down. Closing the top tier. Lerner not giving a shit. Delph leaving then staying then leaving. Micah Richards calming the fans down at Wycombe. Guzan and his chewing gum. Losing 15-0 or whatever it was over three games around the time we also lost to Bradford. Remi Garde. Dr Xia and the post Fulham depression.

Crazy where we are now after that.
Fuck me. How's your application to The Samaritans going?

Hopefully not very well.  They’re there to cheer people up.

Chelsea and Man U want a coach not a manager he sets up the club structure. So no chance Emery would go the those clubs.

Not worried about Man Utd but I’d be more worried when Man City are looking to replace.
Pep runs it and has the same control as Emery does

Unai is ambitious and might just fancy a go at winning the league and champs league without performing miracles and working in a restricted FFP transfer market being able to buy Semenyo rather than Guessand etc makes it a lot more realistic

There is not another club in the country who would give Unai what he has at Villa.
I would guess the only other manager with as much control over the whole club is Guardiola.

Well, yeah and he's (Pep) off next year. So we'd better win a phucking trophy this spring. Otherwise we're back in steerage for the rest of some of our lives.

ManC strike me as a club Unai wouldn't enjoy being at.
