There are quite a few significant sliding doors moments in our recent history, from losing to Fulham in the play-off final, to the Sheff Utd goal that never was, but I think one of the most significant moments didn't even involve us at the time. Unai saying no to the Geordies, leaving him free to say yes to us a year later, is perhaps the second biggest sliding doors moment of all.
He's the best. With the conditions as they are in football today, so stacked against us, what he's doing is nothing short of a miracle.
Surely the real hero was Nas who took control of the club, sacked the Charlatan Gerrard and single handedly appointed Unai. Then once we got him on board handed him the keys and unequivocally backed him.I wonder where we would be in he last 3 years without the financial shackles we have.As the great man says "There are no limits to our dreams"
