And that three of those games were against Keith Andrews’ Brentford and Everton. I’m nowhere near thinking Unai going is the answer, in fact I think it’ll ruin us, but it doesn’t look as simple as just a bad start.

Malden played well last season. Guessard has played 3 games. Matasaan and onnana have both looked very good at times. Some of those won’t work out - but I think the 2 newest need time and the other 2 have done ok
Just out of perverse interest, when on here did we start thinking Sherwood had to go or we'd drop? In my mind it was the Leicester game, but I'm wondering if any of the things we said in the early stages of that season were more panicked than they are at the moment.
I don't think we can compare with Sherwood, because back then we knew the squad was poor and just a couple of poor results away from another relegation battle. Like I wrote earlier, the parallels are with Brian and Ron - when top-half PL players who were "doing it" in previous seasons suddenly weren't doing it no more.
Fail to win in the next 3 and I think he's gone. I don't blame him really, I think the higher ups rocked the boat by telling players they were for sale and it affected the squad chemistry. Emery just doesn't seem to be able to pull it back.
