The speed at which folk elevate themselves to Manchester United levels of entitlement is a bit worrying.

Wanting to not concede two goals a game is entitlement?
Getting your knickers in a twist because we’ve lost to Spurs away and Liverpool away in the league and that’s literally it is.

We do need 2 quality left backs. The fact that we could do with more and better in other positions doesn’t alter this. So Maatsen was needed.

We already had Digne and Moreno.

Both of whom are the wrong side of 30. Maatsen is the future.
sacrificing the present for a punt on a player in a position we did not need is not the way to a successful future.

Well pretty much every club is planning for the future. Moreno wasn't doing the business as he had been. We had PSR deals to do, and Maatsen was available, and we sold them a kid for almost £20m.

Its not getting your knickers in a twist. I don't want to speak on behalf of Risso, but it's about demanding (ae the manager is) a standard. We aren't meeting that, not even close. We can argue over why and I think the injuries to absolutely the most important player(s) over the past 6 months has not helped, but that doesn't mean he's broadly unhappy. He's frustrated, as I can absolutely guarantee Emery is. I bet he stripped paint half time in anger. I bet he's sat in BMH watching hours of footage and getting wound up. If he can, why can't Risso?

Signing Maatsen wasn't a problem and I seem to remember it going down quite well at the time.

You mean the game we got battered 4-0 by spurs you mean?

Dont see how in any universe that result is acceptable  if you are trying to be a top club in this league

We won there the previous season. Dont think asking to not concede two goals a game is unreasonable to be honest

4-1. Not 4-0.

We have a mitigating excuse for that 4-0 with being down to 10 men, when the last 2 went in. Not sure what Man City's excuse was.

im sure all city fans are thrilled about that.

You think losing 4-0 is acceptable because they beat city 4-0? Your expectations must be low if you think that

The thing is ads as you rightly said we were down to 10, alot of teams go down to 10 but dont fall part as easy as we did that game.

Losing by four goals in any circumstance is not good if you are trying to compete for the top 5.

I didn't say it was acceptable, I said it happens. Maybe you missed the bit when I said 'it shouldn't happen'.

Six games without a win, and defending like a bottom half of the table team, as we have done for most of this year. It's not good enough.
