Well on the basis he was exceptionally good last season I’d give him as much time as possible. I’m not convinced he’s fit and the biggest mistake was getting rid of Diaby and thinking Philogene could fill the gap.

Philogene isn't filling the Diaby gap, Rogers is, seeing as he's playing in Diaby's position. And he might not be playing very well at the moment, but he'll easily surpass's Diaby's goal contribution I reckon.

Got dismissed outless times for saying this in the summer.

All good selling diaby and luiz but you need to replace them and we havent. As good as youri has been he has not got a single goal in the PL.  Luiz scored goals.

Not sure that’s quite true, but we can have different views. Rogers was here for half a season with Diaby. Diaby would probably have been a luxury as an option from the bench but he would have offered way more than Jaden is right now.

I think diaby would be getting in the team quite easily if he was still here.  Im convinced he would have more goals than bailey and philogene have and we probably would hava a few more points on the board.

Well let's see how good a coach Emery is to get us out of this mess and onto some semblance of order.

The speed at which some people are legitimately questioning Emery’s capability as a coach is pretty astonishing. I’m not saying he’s above criticism, I’ve criticised some choices, but questioning his actual ability - blimey.

Unai just needs to find the right balance. Once he does we'll be more than fine.

Diaby's pace and directness are missed. Philogene hasn't done anything as his replacement and Bailey is miles off it again . However that same Diaby gave up the chance of PL and CL football approaching the peak of his career to play in a desert. Forget about him.

Tielemans is having a good season, less so in last few games, but we really are missing Luiz ability to get around the pitch including the opposition box. Watkins to be fair had the likes of Luiz and Diaby creating a lot of space for him last season. We have nobody at the moment breaking from midfield past the forwards. Onana is the only one of them to have got a PL goal so far.

Agree Paul, I actually don't see a problem with the way he is setting up the team or the effort the players are putting in.  The problem.we have got is that the players who fill the four attacking positions in the side are horribly out of form, to the point where they can't even keep the ball on a regular basis.

Didn’t agree with the tactical subs, tonight.

Kamara and Maatsen for fresh legs, fine.

But I’d have left Ollie and Bailey on.

We need to stop the Duran on 65’ substitution thing, in my humble opinion.

He's not, though, is he?

We had to sell him due to PSR pressures, and the same with Luiz (as documented by Vidagany after the window closed).

We were forced to sell a valuable player, and it was Luiz, and we were forced to do that having already sold Diaby.

So there's really no point moaning about Luiz or Diaby, there was no option, they had to go - and FWIW, Luiz was good when he fancied it at best, and Diaby was one of the most inconsistent players I've seen here for ages. That seems to be forgotten amidst all the performative chest beating about not replacing him.

Well let's see how good a coach Emery is to get us out of this mess and onto some semblance of order.

He's looked pretty useless at sorting our defence out and he can't hide behind our attacking play at the moment as they've all decided to lose form.  Throwing the Palace cup game is looking increasingly stupid the more these poor performances stack up
