I've said before that one of the big reasons I like him so much is his persona. Win, lose or draw he's the same. Intelligent, articulate, and makes you feel confident. No 'look at me aren't I brilliant now watch me lick myself in a mirror' after a great win and performance, no 'oh woe is me with injuries and as for the officials, disgrace, blah blah' after a stinker. If you just heard his tone postmatch you'd have no idea if we'd just won or lost, were top of the league or bottom. He's a beautiful machine.

However it is also tougher to compete when a ref knows they will never be called up about their performances by one of the big teams compared to the others. They might not feel as swayed towards that side.
He's a beautiful machine.
Interestingly (to us nerds), I believe today was the first time he's started an interview as Villa manager without his usual greeting. Did it on Pravda and with the Beeb. What does it mean?
Speaking words of wisdom "Now the most important is to rest. Rest today, rest tomorrow, Now we want to do a good effort on Thursday [and on Monday against Liverpool. Now is time to rest.”Emery!
Get them on weetabix, three shredded wheat, and ready brek on Thursday.
