Can we just get him to agree to a 10 year contract and be done with it!

Is it my memory but didn’t MON really struggle against any of the teams above us?

Depends. If it was before March, we gave them a good go.

If it was after March, we struggled against a lot of teams...

I maintain the same result down there was the pinnicle of his time with us.

He's got about 3 years left.

Like I said last week, best in my lifetime (Saunders was before my time).

Best since Saunders for me. Every single player seems to have improved, unlike under StevieMe when none did.

Taylor Mark 1 was an astonishing turnaround and we were still biggish fish. He went to one of the few bigger jobs at the time.

BFR - profile and style were key but youth and long term planning was not his forte. Still gave us some great days and nights.
Little - great season 95/95. Teams worked us out and and big money signings didn't work out.
MON - profile and effective PlanA. Hit the ceiling. No PlanB. No Planning

The latter 3 left us in various states of mess.

To go from last week defensive debacle against Brentford, to that masterclass today is a great effort.

Unai signed a 4.5 year contract.  I remember people saying that it is the longest ever offered to a Villa manager.  I hope he stays longer than that.

Agreed. Just remove the decimal point.

Really chuffed for him.  You sense what happened to him there hurt him, so it must have been very sweet to go back there and stick it up them.

I love his interview on AVTV tonight. He was desperately trying not to smile but couldn't resist a couple of seconds absolutely beaming. What a moment for him against the club and fans who didn't appreciate what a special manager they let slip through their fingers.
