He is dealing with our second string back 4, that's why we are looking poor and I think this will continue until Konsa is back,

Torres, in my opinion, is our best centre back and hopefully him being back will make a massive difference.

The two full backs aren't really second string though.

If we were to lose two defenders from the back four against Manchester City and Arsenal at the point in the season when we were at our best (Konsa, Carlos, Pau and Digne), the two we absolutely wouldn't want to lose are Konsa and Pau. It shows.

We could mitigate losing the other two and not suffer as much

Losing three of your back four would unsettle any defence.

Exactly. Even with Pau back I will still be concerned as Konsa has been the rock that our defence has been built on.

They have very different roles though - Konsa is the better defender, Torres is vital to our build-up play from the back.

I think Pau’s defensive play is underrated, his positioning is superb. Also ideally we’d have both, but if I had to pick one it’d be Pau - the impact on our build up play is absolutely critical to the team as a whole.

Digne has been so good this season, far better than I ever imagined he could be. Even an in form Moreno (which he’s isn’t that yet) isn’t as good as how Digne played. Losing him and Torres has been a huge loss for us.

I’ll add Cash hasn’t been anywhere near as good as last season either, hence us playing Konsa there so often.

It's weird with Cash as he started the season in pretty good form.

Whenever Cash is up against a decent winger he struggles, his crossing is at best inconsistent.

His form was really good at the start of the season. He then had a downturn pretty well starting with the Spurs and Forest away games when for some reason Emery decided to muck around with the formation, playing Cash as a wing back in a back 5 against Spurs, and then as an out-and-out winger in Nottingham. In both games he was shite, when as a straightforward right back he'd done really well up to then.

Moreno offers more of an attacking threat than Digne, even in his current form. Weirdly, Moreno is more dangerous with shots and headers than he is at crosses (more of a Digne strength).

I'd much rather Digne in there than Moreno currently, especially if Cash has to play on the other side.  Him and Torres can't come back soon enough.

Why can't we see his pre-match presser live? Do other clubs allow it on their Pravda?

Christ Unai, bit more positive please “ The reality is we are being consistent, and even losing [on Sunday] we will be in front of them.”
