What's Steve's squad like?

Not magic...

They could do with translating that into Points per Game to even out the difference from having a winter World Cup.

Unai Emery: “I am going to enjoy Christmas after the match on Tuesday..."

Er, Saludos navideños. Feliz Navidad Unai.

The bloke got it wrong tonight in the 2nd half, fucked it up big time to be fair but I take comfort in the fact he's on the touchline looking as pissed off as us and going crazy at the players. Nothing worse than being outplayed and your managers sitting there looking gormless. I know this will have hurt him.

I'm sure he'll take it all on board. He needs to, because he's had both Wilder and Ten Hag get one over on him the last two games, and I'd expect Burnley to try to play like Sheffield United did, so hopefully he's worked out how to break them down.

In Unai we trust….he rarely sits down like that scouse excuse of a manager we had. The transformation in us is incredible since he came in and I hope he will be with us for many years to come.

I don’t think Burnley are able to play like Sheff U Risso, I don’t think it’s in their makeup.
We need a convincing victory where we take the game to the opposition and rip them apart, like the Brighton game.

The team owes us nothing, they have massively overachieved this year.
They owe us nothing, that said, after the last two games,  they owe us a performance on Saturday.

This sounds like me arguing with myself after a few drinks.

Trouble is, it's going to be  more or less the same team again, only now we probably haven't got the option of Digne. Probably no Tielemans and Torres again either, so about the only meaningful change we can make is to bring Cash back in. But he was shit last match as well.

He could desperately do with Ramsey, Zaniolo or Diaby finding some form.

Considering the Spanish don't celebrate Christmas until the 6th of January, should we be concerned?

First time I've seen him looking a bit rattled in a post-match interview.

He's trying to present a positive face after what must have been to him just the worst Christmas ever. No matter what he says to us, if his touchline demeanour is anything to go by, he'd have had some words for the players.
