I think Emery is the best manager we have had since Saunders or SGT or Big Ron.
But he has to fuck off Bailey.

Losing Buendia is though for me is a huge huge blow for us this season.

If we are going to move forward this season we absolutely need;

A new centre half capable of leading even on loan.

A replacement for Cash.

Ditto Digne although I’ll wait for little Alex.

Someone to challenge Watkins.

A new back up keeper.  Olsen just no.

And now possibly a replacement for little emi.

We are still starting games with a midfield that cost £17m.  Watkins cost £28m plus add ons and that’s what you get a 12-15 striker in this league with as many misses as goals.

I think the less glamorous members of the squad, Dendonker and Chambers in particular will have to step in.

Emery is a very good manager. He's lost games before. He'll sort this out, but I think it will take more sorting than we realise. First games of the season are often strange, but we need to beat Everton and get up and running next week.

Yes, a big hole in the centre of defence for a start and there is no easy fix for that one.

Torres is a centre half who captained a team a to europa league win and champions league semi final. We have leaders, we’ve just played one game badly.

That midfield line is a a bit rich. They had a bad day yesterday, but the fact they cost £17m is just a sign of good business, not penny pinching. The midfield is worth north of £250m.

Yeah, mentioning how much our midfield cost who are all very good players seems harsh. Like Paul says, it's good business on our part. We've got Ramsey and Buendia missing from it as well.

The manager is going to need to dig deep this week. I think he has enough options that given a week he can cope with the loss of Buendia but Mings is less straightforward. We’ve got plenty of people to play at centre back but I don’t see another obvious candidate for a defensive leader and organiser.

Just to lighten matters has anyone else noticed that emery’s English is at its worst after a heavy defeat
I think you will also find that everyone’s use of English is poor on this and post match thread.
