Sporting director Johan Lange's data-driven approach has brought structure to the recruitment process at every level.
It's obvioulsy worked well for the likes of Brentford, Brighton and Southampton. Maybe Lange should trade in his ZX Spectrum for the far more capable BBC Micro model B?

Returning to the days of handing back all control MON style to the head coach is a concerning one but no surprise. I'm sure the owners had to give Emery those kind of assurances before he agreed to join. Lange's position is surely untenable if first team recruitment is outside his brief.

He’s got a Dragon 32. He bought it off me.
QuoteSporting director Johan Lange's data-driven approach has brought structure to the recruitment process at every level.Hmm. Maybe he's using one of those budget mini calculators from B&M Bargains or whatever and it's throwing out crazy numbers.
I think there will be a blend. Lange will be seeing what he can find, Emery will be clear about what he wants too, and will no doubt ask Lange to go and sort it.There doesn't need to be any difficulty, or any falling out, or power struggle, I think we can go out and do a decent job with them both.
