If we had played our strongest team we would not have witnessed that debacle. It’s that simple,
He played Olsen against Spurs. Olsen was fine. He should have been MORE than fine against fucking Stevenage
Olsen's not at fault for today. And I say that as someone who thinks he should be nowhere near our first team. The first was a general brain fart by the team in front of him and the second was unprofessionalism of the highest order when 10 players all forgot that they were in the middle of a football match and left an opposition striker free on the edge of the box. There's lots to criticise Olsen for, but today's defeat isn't one of them.

He should have been fine today, but because he's totally inept, he wasn't. Look at the Stevenage goal again, no Premier League keeper should be beaten at his near post that easily.

Look at the Stevenage goal again, no Premier League keeper should be beaten at his near post that easily. It doesn’t change the fact that a keeper who plays for his country should be more than good enough to do the very basic things as a professional against a league two side. That Spurs were shit doesn’t change that. And up until the penalty Stevenage didn’t have many shots on target. They were every bit as inept as us up front.
I said when Gerrard was given the boot that the players were the main problem, and I stand by that. Too many who just aren't even remotely good enough.
Emery was badly at fault today, not for making changes, but for making so many changes, for failing to see the poor team performance he might get from his collective of fringe players and players out of form, and in turn for engendering a complacency and lethargy throughout the team which seeped its way through into the substitutions. Terribly disappointing, and I'm not as confident in this fella as I was yesterday.
