Valencia 48.6
Spartak Moscow 46.2
Sevilla 51.7
PSG 76.3
Arsenal 55.1
Villareal 50.4

Overall :
Managed 926 games 53.2% win ratio.

Europa League: 3 wins at Sevilla, 1 at Villareal, Runner up at Arsenal.
French League (1)
French Cup (2)
French League Cup (1)

And Villareal beat Juve and Bayern in the knock-out stages of last season's Chumps League before going out to 'The Mighty Reds YNWA' in the semis.

A tad above average?

Found this online from Nov 2021:

Before taking up the role at the Mestalla Stadium last summer, Emery spoke to Sid Lowe at The Guardian and confirmed his interest in returning back to England, if a ‘good project’ became available:

"If there’s a good project in England, if someone wants me and is prepared to get behind me, I’m available…

"In England that identification with your team brings the game alive. It’s deeper there, like a church.

"I was born in San Sebastián and my team is Real Sociedad. That feeling is in my heart and that’s what you find in England.

"It’s marvellous, the loveliest thing there is.”

"Fans want their emotions to come to the surface and the only to way to make that happen is to give them a team that transmits emotion: intensity, attacking, scoring goals, competing, fighting. That awakens them. The fans want emotions.”

I might go and have a wank

It beats "yeah, no" and "best version of ourselves". What Emery said, not you having a wank.

A giant fuck you to 'experts' and supporters of other clubs who said we were "delusional" to target such an appointment.

Really excited but this appointment. It will go down in my 60 years as a Villa fan as one of those occasions when I remember where I was when I heard the news.

1. Very successful at his early clubs, then Sevilla, and now Villareal in Spain.
Following Wenger was always going to be tough - but he still managed a 55% win ratio.
Did as well as others at Paris SG.  Proven track record across different leagues.
2. Likes to build a team and develop individuals, preferring 4-2-3-1   (Yes please)
3. A winner - look at his superb Europa Cup record.
4. Is keen for another project in the Premier League.
5. He beat Manchester United in a Cup Final.

I'm prepared to give this guy time....he looks the real deal and a great coup for Villa.

Bienvenidos, Unai.

not a league manager.

Yet.

If he gets us in the top 6 regularly on top of the cups that would be real progress on all counts.

WOW!!; this is a major statement as to the direction the owners are wanting the club to go.
Emery is that step below the level and status of Pep, Klopp, Zidane et al.

I'm sure he was mentioned as a manager Newcastle's new wealthy owners were trying to attract.

A very interesting and exciting appointment out the blue, and maybe the most significant appointment since GT 1987 in restoring the club name and reputation.

No, that was Dean Smith.

That record is so good I'm doubting its accuracy. Not a dig or anything, but across the board, surely not?

Great appointment.

Welcome Unai. A Europa League win would be brill! But I'd love it, just love it if you could win us the FA Cup! And after that all the other cups.

Ta.

You would expect he's been given assurances about January and the Summer windows aswell.
