I can't think of a single positive from his 'coaching', I really can't.

More than his coaching his tenure. Aside from the obvious disaster on the football side he literally alienated everyone. It’s one thing if you have a resume like Mourinho that you can act the big dick. But when you’ve done nothing and come across as entitled as he did the it rubs everyone the wrong way. He has contributed to fans feeling far less connected to the club. Not all his fault because Purslow appointed him, but he has been a major reason for it.

The highlights of the equivalent of a full season under him are twatting shit a few shit sides, Leeds, Saints, Burnley. And a couple of decent losing performances against good sides. Even Sherwood and Venglos left better memories than that.

There is a lot wrong, but I'm struggling to think of anything Gerrard did right.

His press conferences were brilliant. He talks a very good game. Sadly, that's where his talent ends.

I;ve actually enjoyed myself for the first time in a little while talking about Villa tonight with a few beers after he's got sacked, that's a positive and also an example of how shit he's been. Last chance for Purslow, no more Mickey Mouse managers or your mates.

I wouldn't call him charismatic. He tended to trot out the same clichés after a while.

If I was the owners I'd be binning Purslow. He's overseen two really poor directors of football and subsequently the wasting of the £100m we got for Grealish, and his choice to replace Smith hasn't worked at all.

That clip of them training yesterday...... that performance was about as lively as the training montage. They looked and played like they'd been force fed dog shit before the match. The manager is a joke and should never have been appointed but some of those performances out there tonight were diabolical and I hope a fair few of them are going to be ashamed of it because they've let the club down tonight.

Two DOF with track records at small clubs dealing with small amounts of money. If we are going to do this we need to appoint managers and DOF's with pedigrees at the level we aim to achieve. This next appointment for me is the barometer. Another nothing managers and I don't care what they say about Europe and expansions of the ground it's not born out by actions.

He's anything but charismatic but I did like his approach to football in the PCs. That said I stopped watching them a few weeks into this season. Whatever the football equivalent of 'fur coat no knickers' is, that's him.

I reckon you could take eleven players of equal stature from other Premier League teams, throw them together for the first time, tell them it's 4-4-2 and where they're playing and they'd be beat us tonight, no sweat

Can we also ''part company'' with every single member of the training staff as we looked under cooked and unprepared every game. From long haired guy, attacking coach and Perennial failure Gary Mac. Fuck them all off. Please.

If MacPhee survives and gets to work under a third manager, I could only summise that he has compromising photos of Purslow. We are absolutely abject at both ends when it comes to set pieces.

I don't know if it's Austin MacPhee's fault or not, but may as well ask here. Has anyone other than Hot Lips scored a direct free kick for us in the last decade? Can't think of any.

Bacuna, Benteke.
