If it's true, team wise i'd go;
............................................Martinez....................................
.............Chambers...............Konsa.................Mings.............
Cash............................................................................Young
..........................Dendoncker...........McGinn...........................
.............................................................................................
.........................................Coutinho......................................
..........................Ings.......................Archer............................

I think whatever formation we go with, Watkins needs a break. If Dendonker isn't fit i'd put Luiz in there.

3 at the back you say?
https://twitter.com/johntownley11/status/1578351505911840769?t=NzQlABDXFnrmO8mlWRhQ7g&s=19

The worst think about 5 at the back, other than it being 5 at the back, is that it'll be two up front. And we know what that means...

Or.....

                   Martinez
      Chambers     Konsa     Mings
Cash                                         Young
                 Luiz          McGinn
            Buendia              Coutinho
                        Watkins

I couldnt care less what formation he tries as longs as it wins us games.
Come on Clampy, you don't think an unplanned massive change in tactics part way through the season smacks of desperation?

We all want to win, but not caring that the coaching staff clearly haven't got a clue and are grasping at straws is surely a concern?

That three centre halves worked really well for us last season didn't it?

Literally the only thing I like about Gerrard is that he doesn't play five at the back. Five defenders against Nottingham Forest. Fucking Hell.

I can picture the flow of the game already, a jittery home team and crowd gradually find their feet, and voice, as they find they can operate in two thirds of the pitch under absolutely no pressure whatsoever. Meanwhile, when we do win the ball back the forwards are isolated and give posession back straight away, creating successive sustained periods of pressure until eventually they score.

Thankfully this game starts at 4am here, and I can miss the whole thing.

Whenever there's an opportuniuty to watch the Villa on TV, I take it, because I just can't get to every game.

Monday is 5-a-side night and I'd normally ditch it to watch the Villa. This Monday I'll be playing; I just don't see it being pretty at all.

No side has lost more games against promoted opponents in Premier League history than Aston Villa (48).
