Bailey a doubt, so put through the Aston Villa injury translator we'll see him in March.

I think the team will be:

          Martinez

Cash  Konsa Mings Young

   Luiz    Ramsey  McGinn

        Buendia  Coutinho

               Watkins
I like that selection but I think it’s time to give Archer his chance

If we lose things will take care of themselves the following day. I’m convinced of it

3 at the back you say?

Literally the only thing I like about Gerrard is that he doesn't play five at the back. Five defenders against Nottingham Forest. Fucking Hell.

I knew you’d be happy 😉

I suppose at least he’s willing to try something a bit different because one thing we’ve learned from the last ten months the system with the fullbacks bombing and midfielders becoming fullbacks is shit.

I couldnt care less what formation he tries as longs as it wins us games.
Come on Clampy, you don't think an unplanned massive change in tactics part way through the season smacks of desperation?

We all want to win, but not caring that the coaching staff clearly haven't got a clue and are grasping at straws is surely a concern?

Not really. I'm absoutley sure teams try different things in training all the time. What's the problem? It's not as if we're on a massive losing streak and letting in loads of goals.

if Gerrard changes it = it smacks of desperation.
If Gerrard doesn't change it = stubborn fucker, needs to change it but refuses.

I got a spare pack of Tramadol in my laptop bag - might treat myself.

I don't believe this comment is a fair reflection of how the majority of Villa fans have spoken up about changes. Its fair to say we understand changes may need to be made when playing the top teams but if its true were looking at going to 5 at the back against teams like Forest then its only fair to say that's going to ruffle some feathers.

Quite so, but the vast majority of posters on here still have Watkins starting despite the vast majority calling for him to be replaced on the actual Match Threads

Is it an H&V record to moan about team news two days before a game? I remember the days when we waited for the line up an hour before kick off.
