Always a good bet for first scorer at 66-1. Usually came in once a season.

He was ace, one of favourite players from that time. I won a signed shirt once and he presented it to me.

Remember reading that he had to have blocks on the pedals of his Ferrari

My favorite player of that era.  Chose to drive to Boro on that New Year's Day in appalling fog, got lost in the M1 Leeds roadworks, but was right behind Wrighty's shot which was going 2 Ft wide until it curled in beautifully more than made up for it.

I remember also driving back laughing at Manure losing heavily in no small part to William Prunier's debut.

Was sitting with Spurs fans when he hit that tremendous volley.

Probably hard to believe as it was 4 years.

A narrow win at Goodison meant that we were in the semis for the first time in forty years, a figure that’s hard to believe, even now.

That was a great read. He’s one of my favourite players but I’d forgotten just how long he was with us and how many mangers he’d played under

Always had a soft spot for him. He barely missed a game from the mid to late 90s. I would sometimes worry that we didn't have an understudy but we barely needed one (I did want Najwan Ghrayib to push Wrighty).

My favourite moment was against Wimbledon, when wee Alan Wright out-jumped Vinnie Jones to win a header; I think it was in the 5-0 game December 1996

He is my eldest lads favourite player to this day, he still has one of those Little Alan Wright Corinthian figurine’s sitting proudly on the windowsill, near enough life-size in his case

He was a cracking little player remembered with fondness now but I can remember many times he was teams scapegoat in the same way as Mcginn and is at the moment, Another player who will probably be in remembered with fondness in 20 years time
