"A determination regarding the remainder of this weekend’s scheduled fixtures will be made following a review of the official mourning guidance, in addition to further consultation with DCMS and other sports on Friday morning."

All games will be off surely? Giving Steven more time with his troops to explain how he wants them to play.

No chance any British league games get played this weekend.

My last "no chance" prediction was Potter to Chelsea so I've got good form for this.

They said the European games went ahead as fans were already there (and the game had already kicked off, in the case of Hearts) but would have been called off otherwise. They've called off two English, one Scottish and one NI game scheduled for tomorrow already, and will confirm more details about the weekend's games tomorrow.

I'll be amazed if they go ahead.

Yeah they'll be off, bad for us as Leicester look more of a mess than we do atm.

Still as gutted as ever when a game gets called off. Even when we’re shit.

I remember a game v Man City. I woke up to see nothing but deep snow everywhere I looked outside. The then Mrs P said ‘the game will be off then’. (We lived in Chelmsley).

I was really hopeful and optimistic that Aston would be fine.

‘Don’t be so fucking stupid’ were her wise words.

Liverpool at home one Boxing Day in the nineties, new issue of the fanzine. Financial pain thrown in there as well.

Surely it would be better for the games to go ahead and have a fitting tribute at the grounds.

We can't be having that, our lives must grind to a halt for some unknown reason.

That Liverpool game in 95 was just frost wasn’t it and most were at the ground.

The worst was Burnley last season as the late decision felt avoidable.

It's a tricky one because it will look incongruous if football is off but the St Ledger goes ahead, or vice versa or just the Test continues and nothing else.

I read a piece last night that said that the instinct is not to have an extended period of mourning and to try and get back to normal fairly swiftly while still acknowledging what has happened. The postponements today feel right but when you go into the weekend I think everything has to go ahead over the two days or nothing, the line becomes blurred otherwise and then we'll have accusations of disrespec' etc etc
