Yeah, they put in an offer on the last day of the window and we turned it down because there wasn't time to bring in a replacement.

He's been thankful ever since.

Probably worth having him around until Christmas next season, unless there unexpected cash available to buy an alternative.

I'd rather have Sanson back, he would have got plenty of game-time in recent months. Assume his move will be made permanent, he's done well in Ligue Une this season by all accounts.

Not for me. We have lots of 8s in mcginn, tielemans, luiz but only have kamara (injured) and Tim (young) who are genuinely defensive midfielders.

Anderlecht following journalists saying that he's off on season-long loan there. Just a loan, no option to buy him.

He's not very good, but can't really blame him from not wanting to walk away from a large contract that he'll never get from anyone else.

More genius from the Purslow/Gerrard axis.

As an emergency signing for a bottom half side he was ok. He looks far worse now as we're far better.

Differing reports suggest he’s on either £75k or £90k a week.

|Either way it's a lot of money for someone who is unlikely to play outside of an absolute emergency and should free up enough to bring in a loan at least.

Would Anderlecht pay all of that though?
