I can't say I've seen a huge amount of him, but so far to me he looks slow and cumbersome with the turning circle of an oil tanker.  But he does have 30 or so caps for Belgium, so surely there's something there to work with?

Gerrard will seemingly always start JJ and Meatball whenever possible, so this guy is going to struggle for game-time with Luiz back in favour now. And with Nakamba - limited but a lynchpin in Gerrard's best spell of results with us, and Sanson - technically probably the best of the lot but less likely than you and I to play for the Villa; maybe this was a bit of a panic-signing by the club.

Luiz has been playing pretty well at 6 since Kamara got injured. Very good v Leeds and Chelsea anyway so there hasn't been a need to make a change. Dendoncker would be worth trying sitting next to Luiz in a 4231. We do lack height and presence in the team generally and I thought he showed v Forest he would have his uses. If we stick to 433 then it's an odd signing. Luiz, Sanson, Ramsey etc all seem better suited to one of the 8s.

Perhaps when he signed there was an expectation that one or both of Sanson and Nakamba would move on. Now all three of them stuck on the bench seems a bit strange, that's with Kamara out injured too.
