Along with Bednarek, this signing smacks of a pragmatic approach to get in such no- nonsense Premier league experience as may be required to help us stave off relegation this season, and with the nous to quickly adapt to the demands of whatever new manager is installed in the next week or two. If pragmatism is now the name of the game, perhaps a stop gap manager might also be in the offing.

I don’t mind Dendoncker, but you can’t tell me we have been pursuing him all summer and have finally landed our man.

It feels like a bit of a ‘lets buy someone……. anyone’ situation and he happened to be available.

We obviously won't have been chasing him all summer but he does fill a gap in our squad, we've needed a bit of physicality in midfield for years, so it's not like we've gone for anyone, we've gone for someone who's available that addresses a problem. Also he's a regular in the Belgian squad, you don't get into that squad without being a decent player.

I honestly couldn’t care less about players coming in to fill gaps what is the point in a player Who is nowhere near good enough filling a gap there’s  just literally no point in it

All we’ll end up with is a load of bang average players who we’ll never be able to get rid of again because they’ll be sitting there on too much money
The whole thing is doing my head in now

What makes you think a belgian international who has been a regular in a top half premier league team is 'nowhere near good enough'?
