Actually I went to Edinburgh and Oxford. So Keys can, absolutely, go f**k themselves.

Oh dear, quite the faux pas, apologies! Dunno why I thought you were a Cantab.

It's my dear old hometown. So I'm town not gown, and Cambo not Cantab.

Ahhh. How could you bring yourself to move, leaving behind the bright lights of the Baron of Beef & Cindi's?!

Ah, lads, this is a derailed thread. Love the Baron of Beef, football pub of choice (wouldn't catch me in The Avery for all the cocaine in...well, The Avery).

Same. I watched the 2010 League Cup final in there. Wound up drunkenly singing HEITS with a couple of other Villa fans as the plastics all left at full time.

Fun fact:

Quote
Only Chelsea and Manchester City have won more Premier League away fixtures at the Emirates than Villa.

Wasn't Wolfgang Wolf the manager of Wolfsburg? Rejected Wolves' advances apparently as he thought they were a bad cover version.

Things I don't want to see; Villa passing the ball from deep in the Arsenal half back to our centre halves or Martinez, 4 or 5 Villa players penned in within the ball within 1 or 2 metres of the sideline, the entire team being kippered by a simple 1-2, Arsenal players running at the defence and Villa players backing off, crosses into the Arsenal box with only one Villa player in the vicinity of 4 Arsenal defenders and still being outnumbered when the ball pings out of the box.

Y' know. The basics.

That's the winner, surely.

The side we put out against West Ham was far too slow. I'd be dropping Ings, McGinn and Phil. Bring in Emi, Ramsey and Bailey. Let Bailey provide a bit of width.
Honestly I'd also drop Digne and if he's fit, bring in that Augustinsson fella. He's less attack-minded. Cash bombs forward and I don't think we can get away with doing that both flanks. One FB has to hold back a bit more. Additionally, Digne has honestly been a downgrade on Targett. He looks dead on 70 minutes most games, he's suspect defensively. He is better at the other end, but I don't think Targett was nearly as bad as some made out. You got a 7 out of him most games, even once Gerrard came in. I don't think it's a surprise that Gerrard's results have gone downhill in the Digne era either. Mings appeared to have a bit more trust in Targett beside him in truth too and Ty needs all the help he can get.
Agreed. I was a fan of Digne when he was at Everton: with us, he's been a big disappointment.

2-1 Whittingham and Townsend

I got thumped whilst waiting for my Arsenal mate near the north bank after that one. A real smash and grab.

I was in the North Bank as there were renovations being done at the Clock End. Was pretty fiesty at the end, especially as there were quite a few Villa in the North Bank end.

Highlights if anyone wants to watch again.

Shit, I was 11 and remember listening to that on the radio as I played with the embers of the previous night's mini bonfire in the back garden.

I dread tonight's game - my redeeming thoughts is all the gooners I know don't think they'll win 5 on the trot.  My wife arranged a meal out with friends a couple of weeks ago for tonight - I said fine without checking.  I'm ever so pleased now that I won't be watching, which is a bizarre thing to be thinking!!!

When I was a kid the first Villa shirt I owned was when we were sponsored by AST Computers. I put that together with Arsenal-Arsene and just assumed that every club had some sort of association like that.
I started work about that time and a chap there used to refer to Leeds utd as them ******. So yes there was a clear association.

Quite happy that Partey isn't playing for several reasons. Put a marker on Odegaard and I think we can get something
Yes, probably a red card
