I'd like to see this.

            Martinez
Cash  Chambers  Mings  Digne
       Kamara    Iroegbunam
                Luiz/Ramsey
Buendia  Watkins   Coutinho/Bailey

But it won't happen
I like it - shame we can't play with 12 players though

The side we put out against West Ham was far too slow. I'd be dropping Ings, McGinn and Phil. Bring in Emi, Ramsey and Bailey. Let Bailey provide a bit of width.

Honestly I'd also drop Digne and if he's fit, bring in that Augustinsson fella. He's less attack-minded. Cash bombs forward and I don't think we can get away with doing that both flanks. One FB has to hold back a bit more. Additionally, Digne has honestly been a downgrade on Targett. He looks dead on 70 minutes most games, he's suspect defensively. He is better at the other end, but I don't think Targett was nearly as bad as some made out. You got a 7 out of him most games, even once Gerrard came in. I don't think it's a surprise that Gerrard's results have gone downhill in the Digne era either. Mings appeared to have a bit more trust in Targett beside him in truth too and Ty needs all the help he can get.

2-1 Whittingham and Townsend

Daylight robbery in fairness. Wright should have had a harmful.

My brother offered me his ticket earlier. A few weeks ago I'd have jumped at it, I've not been to the new ground, but my answer was a solid no.

2-1 Whittingham and Townsend

I got thumped whilst waiting for my Arsenal mate near the north bank after that one. A real smash and grab.

5-1

We're in for a rough couple of games. 0-3 with the worst yet to come.

What's the etiquette in predicting away games, does the Villa score come first or second?

Was in my brothers Metro just past the Josiah Mason bust on the Chester Rd when that winner went in, can remember banging the roof clear as day.

0-1 to us is probably the most unlikely result as we don’t do clean sheets unfortunately

In that case, what about 0-2 to us? Twice as unlikely 😉

They're hopeful Mings will be back but Archer is doubtful. Not that he would have brought him on before 88 minutes, anyway.

Lack of regular game time so he has tweaked his hip. Being assessed later today. Fingers crossed.

The only positive from this game and the next one is that we aren't expected to win so therefore we have nothing to lose by going out there and actually putting on a performance that puts some pride back into the team.

It won't happen but we can always dream, 3 - 0 to the Arse!
