Watkins with 3 attacking midfielders behind, Bailey Buendia Ramsey maybe.

Yep something like that is what I’d do and have Doug and Kamara sitting in midfield.

Doug and Kamara sitting in a field? Yeah, I can see that.

Taking in some chilled vibes, taking it slow.....

Objection - the tread starter is clearly biased and leading the witnesses.

Overruled. Leading questions are permitted in cross examination.

Goddammit...is this true?  :(

Watkins and Ings were dreadful today. The problem wasn't possession against West Ham, it was having that pair of no marks up front. I'd cheerfully never see either of them in a Villa shirt again.

So my verdict is....Archer. And buy somebody else.

Agreed but midfield is a mess so all strikers will struggle until that's addressed. I always think with Watkins that if the opponent drops deep he is a waste of space. His touch and lack of guile makes him look second rate.

Ings is a good footballer but is the classic poor fit signing for us. We should be trying to sell him at the first opportunity.

Looks like it's Watkins in a front 3 with Buendia and Bailey supporting tonight.
I think the balance is good just having one central striker and the right support around him away from home can work wonders.
We saw that in first five minutes Vs Palace
Seems it's that approach again but need for whole 90mins

May as well give Archer a go for now. I hope that our next manager can get more out of at least one of Watkins or Ings, they've generally been atrocious since he turned up (and the few months before). But neither of them are bad players or at an age where they should definitely be past it.

Archer.

I'm done with the other two. The most boring strikers ever, snooze fest central.

It doesn't matter who we pick, no one believes in this charlatan of a manager. The squad are all over the place.
