We need a decent performance from Coutinho today and some aggression in midfield.
We need the manager to go before he gets us relegated, he is clueless.
.

That's not happening today though is it!?  Coutinho is world class and needs to show that today.

Indeed. So one-paced and predictable.

That midfield is going to be absolutely destroyed. And that CB pairing is the stuff relegations are made of.

McGinn could rock up today with a picnic blanket, sit in the centre circle and consume scotch eggs and Irn Bru for 90 minutes and Gerrard would still pick him next week. Frustrating.

I've a mental image of McGinn going full Rab C Nesbit now. It's a shame because it's a situation that isn't helping Gerrard, McGinn or Villa.

Another lucky dip approach to the line up

Sarr was actually the right type of forward option with his pace. Him and Bailey either side would allow us to play more on the break, lower block, suiting our defenders a bit more. This formation and attempted tactic just doesn't work with this group.

Queues shocking today too. Nothing learned from Everton.
Hopefully the football is an improvement

Went to the outside bar at the back of the Trinity which were ok, decent atmos as well. No problem inside either

There have been plenty of games in the past where we've all sat there pre-match, looked at the team line up and had a right good moan about the selection only for the team to put in a surprisingly brilliant performance. I don't think today is one of those days.

Crazy to have him starting again.

If we lose today, no matter the fashion, I’m going to become firmly Gerrard Out.

Forcing two out and out center forwards into a 4-3-3, persisting with McGinn, letting Hause go out on loan with Mings picking up an illness, totally abandoning any sort of width and all of the cock ups since.

I hope we win, we better win.
