McGinn could rock up today with a picnic blanket, sit in the centre circle and consume scotch eggs and Irn Bru for 90 minutes and Gerrard would still pick him next week. Frustrating.

It's incredible isn't it. I know he's the captain, but he's been really poor this season.

Need a big performance from him and all of them today.

Well all those that wanted to see Kamara and Dougie play together(like me) have got their wish
Let’s see if it makes any difference

It's still in that flat horrible three though, not a 2 that most of us want. At least, it should be Luiz on right and McGinn on left of Kamara. If it isn't then....

What a shame we have to be constantly so negative but you can hardly blame the comments can you.

Gerrard's lack of inventiveness and tactical ineptitude gets us worried before we even kick a ball. Its amazing that one of the best England Midfielders who captained his club and country cannot get the basics right.

I always say ill be happy to be proved wrong and that Gerrard will surprise me, but sadly the inevitable always happens. For me not conceding in the first 15 minutes will be an improvement.

On the plus side I enjoyed Saturday.

Big blow about Mings and tough on Buendia and Bailey time to step up Phil.

Happy with Luiz starting. Him and Kamara will have to be extremely disciplined given it's a CB combination we've never put out on same pitch together at prem level.

Who knows, it should given us better balance to push the FBs on and McGinn in more advanced role to get into the box.

Beggars belief that Coutinho has started three of the four prem games so far and Buendia just the one given the respective forms not just this season but last three months of last season aswell.

I've seen walking football sides with more pace than we have.

I don’t believe a word of why Mings is missing. SG has made a right cock up with regards to the captaincy situation with pissing Mings off and appointing one of the worst people capable of being a captain in McGinn. He should be man enough to admit he has dropped a huge bollock or two and sort the situation out.
Also it seems that Bailey did know that he was only going to be a sub.
I’m here to be proved wrong but, todays line up is shocking and, if we don’t get at least 3 points from today and next 2 matches, SG will be gone before the World Cup kicks off.

Just been sat in my car and some west ham fans went past and said "it's a shithole round here" 🤣

Interesting perspective for fans of a club situated in the biggest dump of a city in western europe.

Something feels wrong. Not sure what, but something isn't right.

How have we ended up here with Buendia such a bit part player?
