If the smaller cheaper allocation had flown out i'd maybe agree, but it didn't. So there's no logic that we'd have sold thousands more with all tickets costing more.

The FAC game being moved to Monday night and being on the BBC probably didn't help with selling tickets.

So we will play them twice between 7 and 10th November, I am guessing the league game will be on the Saturday and the cup game Tuesday or Wednesday?

They're playing in Europe on the Thursday before our league meeting, so our meetings will likely be on Sunday and Wednesday.

Plus it was just after Xmas.

maybe new manager bounce 👀

I hope not, as it might mean they've brought Poch in to replace ETH.

I've done both the FA Cup and League Cup.
Follow the grid system, played them in the 3rd round of the FA Cup (in the early 1880s)

Played them in the semi final of the FA Cup in 1887. Its the last time a Scottish side was aloud the play in the English FA Cup.

Strangely I switched the TV on about half an hour ago and there was something on (Escape To The Country I think) where they were in Horncastle in Lincolnshire. The only thing I knew about Horncastle is we knocked them out of the FA Cup on the way to winning it in 1887. This led to me looking it up to check which round (5th round) and that in turn led me to this report on the semi against Rangers which was played in Crewe.

I know, I was suggesting it was an outlier as it was the only time we played a professional Scottish team in either cup. :)

I wonder what became of them?

We're winning this. The 'big' clubs don't give a shit until the semi's. I know that doesn't stop shit refereeing but I fancy it. This optimism feels strange*

*They'll beat us 6-0 in the league.
