12th.

Quarter final of league cup.
Knocked out FA cup early rounds by top 4 club.

All round another season feeling deflated after the club overprice and overpromise

Dougie scores from a free kick, Coutinho belts one in from outside the area, and Flint5tone posts something positive about the squad / transfer window / Purslow.

I really hope I'm in the position to do so

I agree with flin. I too think it's unlikely we'll finish as low as 12th, while only making it as far as the quarter finals of league cup, and getting knocked out of the FA Cup early rounds. Preposterous notions!

I went to a evening with he who walks on water a couple of weeks back, he said he wanted to sign Cole but there was no chance of getting him.

With all due respect to the great one, that's a bit of a non anecdote. "I wanted to buy one of the best strikers on the league but turns out he didn't want to play for Villa". Shocked emoji.

Grrr I knew I should have put you down to reply to a post that wasn’t either agreeing with you or one you could rant at!  ;D

We're going to win the treble. Fuck it, why enter a tournament you have zero hope of winning? That's not sport.

It is highly unlikely, but bollocks to it, let's do it.

You're quite greedy for a vegan.

We need more food, and more joy in our lives.

This thread is for unlikely and off the wall predictions. This is EXACTLY what I thought you’d say.

We will beat Utd at home with a 98th Minute winner. VAR will then check the goal can stand for a world record 15 minutes.

You've got unlikely and inevitable outcomes in the same post, top work!

I agree with eamonn.

I'm humbled, but wasn't upset by mean meanie Meanwood's post, it's fair comment.

What I will say in context was that I'd always suspected that Brian would've preferred Cole, and he offered that up unprompted when discussing signing Stan.

Also, although Cole's record is fantastic, at that time there were question marks over him at Man Utd, he'd struggled a bit initially and this was in an era of loads of super centre forwards, Shearer, Fowler, Wright, Sutton, Ferdinand, Cantona would probably all been higher rated than Cole, plus he had Solksjear breathing down his neck.

At that point, with our stock at it's highest for ages, it wasn't inconceivable that the move could happen if Ferguson thought he could get better elsewhere.

It was really when they bought Yorke that Cole took off as well, the bastards.

There was talk at the time they were sniffing round Yorke that Cole would come in a part ex.

A coherent plan and consistent execution
Winning 12 at home and 6 away
Achieving the potential in the squad
Cup semi final at least
The design of the new north stand to be the most beautiful building in Birmingham
