I think he may have played in a previous cup game as well but I stand correct on that.

I often stand correct first thing in the morning too, to be fair.  :P

I can’t see anything for him earlier. He played in pre-season last year and then I think only in the one LC game before his loan.

Maybe I'm thinking of one of Jacob's earlier games.

Aaron Ramsey came on for El Ghazi at Barrow.

No problem guys.

Interesting if that's true about the owners and CEO reviewing how many of the kids have been called up for their respective countries.

I recently read that Wes Edens has a phrase that he uses - "Decisions are over-valued and data is under-valued. If you have the right data, you should make the right decisions."

I like the sound of all this.  In the early Randy years there was loads of investment but there appeared to be very little accountability.  KPIs should keep everyone focused and reduce the waste.

Good judgement/good data was the comparison I think.

I’m getting a bit dizzy with the investment here. It’s great to see that.

You're right, I distorted the quote.

"You know I always tell people in our businesses great judgement, overrated, great information, underrated," said Edens.

Currently it seems that the first team are playing Fulham away the same night that the U-23s are playing away at Crawley in the PJT. That can't be right...can it?

Have to say I find that view rather depressing. This thinking is the reason why accountants run businesses these days rather than people with a real feel for and understanding of the soul of an industry

That's not what happens in successful companies though. A well-run business will provide good products/services, backed up by sound financial advice. Even the best idea will fail if it's not run properly, and likewise you won't get anywhere with lots of accurate spreadsheets but nothing that people want to buy.

Villa appear to be a model of how to do things right these days. Run by people who 'get' the club, but who are extremely savvy business people as well.

Sinisalo gone on loan to Burton Albion, Azaz gone on loan to Plymouth and talk that Barry is going on loan to MK Dons.

Weird how the club seem to be approaching the development of Azaz differently to the other players. He’s barely been at the training ground since signing from WBA.  Seems to be doing well, away from the spotlight though.

U21 XI playing at Hednesford tonight

https://twitter.com/hednesford_town/status/1546517239150542851?s=21&t=nm05qF1yat2T0-_wPUsxEQ

That's how to build up a match, shame about the "V'S" though.
