That young fella in midfield for Morocco is good.

I was thinking that he'd be a great pickup if we ever lost Kamara, but he'll be well out of our price range.

He did play against us for Lille, but don't remember him doing a lot then, but he's only 18.

He was pretty anonymous for Lille.

Is he going to be fit for the new season ?
Transfermarkt seems to have him returning from injury on 25 May, which would align with the booted photos he posted. Guess we'd be assuming 2-3 months of reconditioning? So maybe in contention for the squad in the new season, or the Super Cup if progress is faster.

Good news, thanks for that

Lille were pretty crap all round against us this season. I was going to say something disparaging about the lad based on this but agree his age perhaps gives some mitigation

Our whole team was anonymous against Fulham. I'd still buy all of them.

He’s an outstanding player, but has only played a full season of  30+ league games 3 times in his career.

With that kind of record, and if we need need to sell to meet the financial restraints placed on us, then I’d be looking to move him on (rather than Roger’s say).

I doubt that kind of either/or really exists. Kamara is brilliant, but suspect injuries are what have prevented the usual noise that is generated around a player of his quality. I suspect there isn’t the kind of market that would make it worthwhile us selling - given when he is available he makes such a difference.

Yeah, injuries are going to massively reduce his value, and replacing him with an as-good, less-injured version would cost the earth.

Find a younger version of him to learn from him and infill for him for a couple of seasons and then we can replace the one with t'other.

That’s the holy grail and repeat with Watkins, McGinn, and Martinez. Whilst the task is almost impossible, I do think this should be Plan A.

How do we find a younger version of him? There's probably only 3 in existence. We'd have to look under every rock from Connemara to Curaçao.

indeed, it's not easy at all and everyone is wanting to do the same thing, this is why we're gambling big money on a player like Madjo though.

Our advantage is the manager, team and squad are pretty settled, subject to FFP/SCR, so we can throw the dice a few times and it not be too critical.  By comparison, most other clubs are in a forced transitional period from the manager merry-go-round.

We’re in much need of quality fresh blood though.

That’s a fair few rocks.
