I think we have to accept that when he’s fit we will at best be getting half a season out of him next season. Great player that he is he seems susceptible to knee injuries. I think Marseille had more than an inkling about this concern too. We need to see who is out there we might appoint of a similar nature we can rotate with him from now on. He’ll be impossible to sell for his real value unfortunately.

So never having a knee injury in his time at Marseille means they let him run down his contract because they "inkled" he had knee problems?

Indeed. Anybody would be 'susceptible to knee injuries' when you have a talentless thug completely focused on taking you out of the game.

I know it's not worth complaining about or anything, but you absolutely know for certain that if Kamara had taken out Palinha it would be a commonly-discussed point in football media.

They've had our pants down.
Who's had whose pants down?
We bought him on a free at a time when he no history of long-term injuries.
The only pants that are down are either on our medical team (see also Onana) or on our coaches for not helping Kamara to play in a way that is not so prone to twist / impact injuries.
And, before anyone thinks I'm being overly-critical of our staff: the other factor is that opposition coaches have identified  - as we have as fans - that if they stop Kamara they stop Villa's flowing football.

Just joking mate. He's my favourite player since Laursen. In all honesty he only sneaks it as that's my position.

I did think the rest of the post gushing over him being an artist might be a clue though.

Buendia is the poster boy for recovery from serious injury, he's performing as good, if not better than before his ACL tear.

Miles better. He learned that football careers are fleeting things and told Uncle Unai he wanted to make the most of his talent at the Villa.

Assuming "33%" is because he is 33% healed from the injury in early Jan, then in theory he should be fit for July.

Best of luck Bouba. What a bloody player he is - I reckon arguably one of the most underrated players around (outside of Villa).

I think he is the most under rated player in the league full stop…until injury comfortably the best 6 in the division this season

Great player we need less talented but useful cover for his role and position in the team.

I agree, as I've said before, I think the midfield/attacking midfield of Kamara, Onana, Tielemans, McGinn and Rogers is as good as any midfield in the world right now except maybe PSG. All 5 of them fit and we were the form team in Europe and our struggles started as players from that group started getting niggles and missing games or playing within themselves.
