Any chance of recalling Barrenechea?

Unfortunately, not a chance. Loan deal with obligation to buy. They love him at Benfica. Only possible way would be to throw money at them and we know that's erm..extremely unlikely.

Speaking of Benfica. Didn’t Lindelof start there as a defensive midfielder? Just saying

Always thought Torres could do a job as DM.

Yes, Torres could, probably better than in defence

Absolutely gutted. That twat Paulinha has a lot to answer for and the referee for not even booking him.

He's our best and most important player. I guess there's very little chance of getting someone in to cover in this window?

No idea. I didn't even know he'd played for them such is my interest in the Red Gloryhunters. As a player I could see him moving up in there but I wouldn't want him there for the rest of the season.

A massive shame for him and his World Cup dreams in tatters too.

Completely. Takes the French years to recognise his genius only for him to uncharacteristically go charging up field with the ball, showing all his skills only to be wiped out by a thug who had no interest in the ball. It's a shame he can't sue Palhinha and the useless ref.

Is it weird that nobody else has reported it yet?

L'Equipe have just reported it in France.

I'd seriously consider letting one of Onana or Booby go. Can't afford to have 2 players that miss loads of games each season. especially when both are CM.

According to wiki, he's played 24/20/26/18 league matches for us over his four seasons. That's just under 58% of matches. Does the lack of reliability in getting on the park outweigh how good he is when he's on it? I'm not sure it does.

You could justify it a lot more if the player that's the main replacement didn't miss loads of games as well.
