The probability of winning the home game is higher, we just need one win, less tiring not travelling….do I need to go on?

Is it controversial to suggest that the Paulina tackle wasn't that bad (certainly not Ben Mee on Wesley levels), and if Kamara is getting season ending injuries like that then in all probability it was going to happen sooner rather than later regardless of which matches he played in?

Or we win Thursday and against Salzburg and bag a top two space to ensure that second leg quarter or semi final is at Villa Park.

Wouldn't say season over, but fucking feels like it.
Bollocks! Of course winning the League would be fantastic, but it would be a massive and frankly unlikely feat. The aim this season was and is CL qualification and we're still well on track for that. And taking the FA Cup seriously - which should be a given every season.

Agree with Pat, it was a dangled leg out that resulted in a coming together of knees, a foul and probably a yellow but no more, it was hardly a Graeme Souness style leg breaker.

I adore Booby, he’s our best player but is made of glass and therefore very injury prone and this may well blight his entire career.

Terribly sad for the player and very annoying for all us lot, but we’re in a great position, it’s not time for self pity. Let’s rally the troops and make sure we finish the season strongly.

It’s a great opportunity for others to step up. A lad like Hemmings might be starting a European final come May.

Pretty disastrous - we need all the others back quicker and a loan signing

Something that I imagine he considered when he was deciding whether to sign up for another five years or risk letting his contract run down.

In all the disappointment, I'm guessing he's probably a bit relieved that he made the decision that he did back in July.

Worst week for us for several years I think. Malen, Kamara, Everton, Gallagher, Unai being seriously pissed off.

A breeze in the park compared to most weeks between 2010 and 2020.

Some truth in that and backed up by how we got him in the first place (Steve Gerrard’s magical persuasive powers aside). Our ‘Medical’ procedure when looking to buy players must consist of potential recruits sticking their tongues out and saying “Ahh”.

Is there any mention anywhere of what the actual injury is? "Probably season ending" in late January doesn't necessarily mean another cruciate injury, and the associated 9-12 months out.  The season will be over in four months, so it could be he'll be back in pre-season, and maybe even have an outside chance of playing in the run-in?

Yes, yes, happy to admit that straws are definitely being grasped here...
