I watched this tackle over and over again this morning.  Firstly I’ve no idea how it wasn’t a booking which maybe would’ve stopped the later shithousing.  Second it just looked so innocuous that makes me fear it’s something bad inside the knee ligament.  Those with better sports science knowledge than me may offer more insight.

I thought it was more of an impact injury. There didn't appear to be any twist of the knee or studs caught in the turf. So, hopefully not too serious....

Looks like a routine bang on the knee and potentially he could have played on but wasn’t risked.

And yes I’m looking at it from the most optimistic standpoint.

I was thinking yesterday Kamara and Palhinha are the complete antithesis. Bouba is brilliant as a defensive player, by effortlessly dispossessing players and great positioning. Palhinha only gets by on referee leniency, because he always over commits in tackles and tries to take man and ball (and sometimes not the latter).

Yes. His expression was worrisome though, like he recognised the pain.

Hopefully, it will be like that one with Mings last season versus (I think) West Ham, not as bad as it seemed to the player at the time.

Yeah, a clash of knees where the knee cap of one player connects with the other part of the player's knee can be a really sore one.  Still think it should have been a yellow card.
